Week 35 Update

5^th Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

Another Iowa Week has come to an end and I am sure that the students are relieved, not only that it is over, but also to know that if you really think carefully on tests like these, you either work out the answer or learn something new. With this annual event a thing of the past, please be aware that there is no school on Monday, May 21^st due to our Mid-semester break which, as is tradition, follows shortly after the big week of testing.

Maths: No Maths – Iowa

Literacy: A Focus on Plays – Social Studies Connection

Science: No Science (Chapter 6 will continue the week after Iowa testing)

Social Studies: Chapter 13 Decades of Change Chapter Wrap up and Civil Rights/Cold War/Space Race Plays

What we will learn Next Week

Maths: Topic 18- Graphs and Data

Literacy: A Focus on Plays – Social Studies Connection

Science: Chapter 6 – Earth and Space

Social Studies: Chapter 14 Into Modern Times
