Week 10 Update

5^th Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

We’ve just bid farewell to the month of October and by the time our first Parent-Teacher conference takes place starting the Monday after next, we will already find ourselves in the middle of November. The school will soon be abuzz with preparations not only for our upcoming Thanksgiving and Fun Day celebrations, but also our Christmas show that is only just over a month away.   

What we learned This week

Math: Topic 5 – Dividing by two-digit divisors. Topics 1-4 Cumulative Multiple Choice Test next Tuesday.

Literacy: Summarisation/My Side of the Mountain/Nouns TEST

Science: Chapter 1 – Properties of Matter: Chapter Review and Test

Social Studies: Ch. 3 The Civil War and Reconstruction/Chapter Review and Test

What we will learn Next week

Math: Topic 5 – Dividing by two-digit divisors & Topic Test

Literacy: English Unit 3 Verbs/Novel: The Tiger Rising – Defending Big Ideas

Science: Chapter 2 – Forces and Motion

Social Studies: Ch. 4 New Frontiers
