So Long And Thanks For All The Fish

Dear Grade 5s of the 2017-2018 Year,

Thank you for all of the contributions that you have made. As I have said time and again, this group works particularly well together. All 23 of you have done more than just a few things this year to impress me and remind me that what I do for a living is exactly what I should be doing...unless anyone hears  about an opening at a circus. Maurice tells me working for one is not quite as much fun as you might think, so I should probably trust him. So never mind that then, I'll stick to teach..,uhm...educatiing.

Don't forget the friends you have made and the knowledge that you have gained this year.

I hope to see all of you in the fUtUre, not the PASTure...whatever that means.

Have a great summer and keep on doing all of the things you do.

The Last Day Has Arrived

I hope that you have enjoyed my beautiful, neat, computer-generated 'countdown calendar' as much as I have enjoyed this past year with you.

Week 39 Update

5th Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

The end of Week 39 has arrived and with it comes the final update of the year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the decisions you made in the past that led to your child being a member of the class this year. I have enjoyed the privilege of working with a group of young people who work with, support, and educate each other like no other group I have taught in the past.

I see only bright experiences on the horizon for all of them and hope that they will share some of these with all of us who were a part of the class this year from time to time in the future.
